GLAM VIP: VOODOO Fashion Show featuring Voodoo Method and NFL Celebrity After Party....April 13th, 2012
Horseshoe Council Bluffs 2701 23rd Ave., Council Bluffs, IA 51501
8 pm Doors Open, 10 pm Fashion Show/Musical Performance by Voodoo Method, 11 pm Celebrity After Party
Voodoo is culture, heritage, philosophy, art, dance, language, medicine, music, justice, power, storytelling & ritual. It heals and destroys, is both good and bad, and is simple in concept and complex in practice. On Friday, April 13th, you can behold it on the runway, as The Reader presents Glam VIP: Voodoo. But the real black magic is
in the styling of Crystal Ellis and Cristallo Couture: from Warrior-like fashions to feathers, sequins, fringing and furs – there’s no shortage of detail. While the models work the catwalk, Voodoo Method will provide the musical experience that has been deemed part southern riff rock and part funk - all rolled up into a high-energy Rock-n-Soul show. Watch lead vocalist, Pierre Minor, as he serenades the models down the runway. But the show must go on. Local DJ Mista Soull will continue to provide the music for the After Party with NFL celebrities Carlos Polk, Correll Buckhalter, Niles Paul, Zack Bowman and many more! The after party gets kicked off with special guests hitting the runway in Husker apparel from Neebo. Now in its seventh year, Glam VIP is a long-running tradition in Omaha fashion presented by The Reader. It is a celebration of local talent in all shapes and forms from models to photographers, musicians to boutiques, make-up artists and hair stylists. Hosted by the Horseshoe Council Bluffs, this electric show is sure to uplift your “spirit” and boost your luck.
